Rick Steele is President of R. Steele Consulting Inc. (RSCI), a company specializing in providing leadership and advice on building projects for the public sector.
Mr. Steele previously led the health sector and education teams within Partnerships BC, providing oversight and guidance on projects through business development, procurement and project implementation phases. In his current role, he provides leadership on specific projects that have unique challenges in BC and other provinces including Alberta, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and the Yukon.
Prior to joining Partnerships BC, Mr. Steele led the Project Development team at BC Buildings Corporation and has had past roles as Vice President, Construction at Centara Corporation in Toronto, and as Partner and Chief Structural Engineer for Raines Finlayson Barrett and Partners in Calgary.
Throughout his career, Mr. Steele has managed complex and multi-phased projects in a variety of areas including health care, post-secondary education, education, the justice sector and commercial real estate. His career includes experience in structural engineering, project management and leadership in developing the public private partnership model in BC. In addition to designing and managing large institutional and commercial projects throughout Canada, he has had a significant involvement in almost all the large health projects completed in BC in the last ten years.
Mr. Steele is a Professional Engineer and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from Carleton University and an Executive Leadership Diploma from Royal Roads University.
